How did White City get its name?
Discover amazing hidden history on your doorstep on a free one-hour walk round White City. Local resident and expert guide, Joanna Oyediran, from Iya London will lead us.
Hear how a Hungarian impresario created a 140-acre pleasure ground for international exhibitions, entertainment and the 1908 Olympics, right here in W12.
We'll discover the UK’s first public Japanese garden and explore Television Centre with its beautiful architecture. We’ll end with free
mango and matcha mochi, courtesy of the Japanese supermarket, Ichiba.
The event is accessible for wheelchair users. There are also plenty of places to sit down.
The walk’s proved interesting for secondary school children. All children are welcome. If they are 14 or under they must be accompanied by an adult.
