3.Setting up garden borders to retain soil and prevent airborne litter from entering the gardens.

47 Sawley Rd, London W12 0LG

Creating garden borders is a straightforward task that helps with soil retention. Previously, we repurposed some construction site skirting boards, which saved us the need for painting. We utilized Dark Grey Wood Grain Composite Decking Boards, sourced locally from a construction site. The pre-existing holes in the boards made it effortless to join them with additional wood pieces. Using second-hand materials is ideal, as it reduces waste that would otherwise end up in landfills. Now, we need more of these boards for the corners at Adelaide Grove.

Recycle skirting boards. Small pieces of wood to join the boards.

Notice boards

We aim to engage neighbours in maintaining and increasing awareness of caring for the communal gardens. We plan to facilitate communication through a simple system where anyone can pick up tasks from a board and mark them as completed. This board will serve a dual purpose as both a communication platform and a seed exchange. If you are a professional or keen DYI please feel free to produce your own.

Wood materials, charcoal paint, the same willow paint can be used to pain the house board
